Le New Look

Still working on updating our website. It's taking forever, but once I finished designing the logo, I decided to go ahead and just upload a few pages at a time, instead of finishing the whole website. I'll be talking about the changes here and would love some feedback as we go along.

For now, I'm still waiting for participation in the Blog Action Day artwork project - So far, only Neda and Alfonso have submitted their collages (you can see them in the home page slides).

Que pasa, people? Saving the earth is not inspiring you to come up with something? or, gulp... not worth your time? Time is running out - hurry up, vamos, allez, yalla, andare, пойти

Hmmm...
My initial feedback on the logo is that the text for Maraya seems just a little heavy for my particular tastes. It seems like it fights with the image underneath, instead of working with each other.
As for Oct 15, taking care of my world has been taking precedence. I may get inspired yet. We'll see.

I will do something - I promise. What about you? Have you done an image yet? eh? eh? eh?
LOL
Love the new look. I like the strong text balancing the space. But then I am a Mediterranean - I like definition and plenty of white space and light.

I'll make something...I just have to wrap up the World Card Making Day festivities this weekend and then I can make my "green" piece. ;) Count me in! (I hope I don't miss the time limit...I didn't see a cut off...but I need until Monday or Tuesday- is that ok?)

Hi Rima, My initial take was like Sue's of a little heavy on the the Maraya text - it doesn't look as clean as it could if it were a little finer (does this make sense? I mean the cursive graphic not quite as heavy). But Frances is saying she likes it that way, so maybe some of it is cultural taste.

I have just spent a lot of the day on a graphic programs ... changing the amount of strokes on text - because too much made it fuzzier looking.

I am quickly stopping by and glad to look again and say more later if that is helpful.

I am planning a piece - I just have 3 jobs all wanting very soon ... but count me in!

I like it (hint hint :)..Rima, maybe if you zoom closer, maybe we can see it better. I know how much time and effort you are spending on making the gallery even better. Love and kisses, ma cherie .

I love the new look. Seems like webpages need re-inventing every so often just to keep interest. I KNOW what work this is to do the coding for the pages and it ain't easy, no matter what they say.

As I told Neda, I am working, working, working on my environmental post. I have about 5 images and am starting to narrow down and so will make decision and be done this weekend. I am working on the text to go along with my image for my post. Great-grannies are slow you know. I wouldn't let you down, as this cause is very important. Just think, what would happen if you couldn't even drink a glass of water because it is so polluted. No, diet coke does not apply here.

p.s. thanks for decoding the problem on my blog with the =.

Dear Rima, I'm afraid my mind is not quite cooperating with me just now and I will have to forgo the pleasure of making an environmental image. I will write a post on the appointed day, but do not expect a miracle from this woman. helas. I wish all of you a lot of luck with your images, though.

I like this. It is a nice clean look which will highlight the work.
I am going to make a contribution, which I have been thinking of for some time.
